Research Interest:
The
intermolecular Diels-Alder reaction involving a furan diene which can be
used in the synthesis of natural products (e.g. gibberllic acid, morphine,
etc.), which contain an oxygenated cyclohexane system. Furthermore the
substituted 7-oxabicyclo[2.2.1]-2-heptenesystem obtained by this reaction
could be further transformed into a number of interesting
structures. Synthesis, structure and reactivity
of heterocyclic compounds especially small-ring heterocycle.
Project Advisor: Able to advise graduate and undergraduate students in
research problem, based on literature and research
work.
Activities
-
